Accommodation Facilities and Breakfast

Aspen Manor has 31 units with 5 room types for you to choose from.

All units have parking outside the door and are ground floor entry. However the family units are two levels. There are a number of additional free parks.

All units have two TVs except the studios. There is broadband access and phones in all units with voice mail messaging. Evening and morning newspapers are available. Family Units have fridge /freezers and dishwashers.

The motel has a "Bridge" theme. Joe has photographed bridges and dams on the Waikato River. Each motel unit has a different picture. As time permits a documented history will be collated of each bridge or dam. Any help would be appreciated.

Breakfasts

Room service cooked and continental breakfasts available. Inform us of your dietary needs and we will do our best to cater. For groups we can provide breakfast in our meeting room.

Restaurants' bars and Local shops

Within 10 minutes walk Hamilton East has a variety of shops, cafes, bars, food and liquor and fast food outlets including MacDonald’s, Kentucky Fried and Subway. There is a small dairy opposite. The closest restaurant is 50 metres.

Meeting Room

Suitable for small group meetings, discussions, interviews, or as a display area. Max 15.

TVs

Aspen Manor has flat screen TVs. One bedroom and family units have two TVs. All receive 14 channels digital free view, Teletext, 3 radio channels and 5 Analogue sky channels. An online digital TV guide is also available

Broadband

All rooms have “hard wired” broadband with consistent high speeds and is very secure. This is a plug and play system, with no passwords or tickets.100 megabytes free of charge per 24 hours. For most people this is ample.

There is 24 hour 0800 support by an offsite technician. If you are having problems connecting your laptop this service will be important to you.

Guest Computer

A guest computer and printer, fax machine and a copier are available at minimal charge.

Laundry

Coin operated washing machine and dryer is available. Arrangements can be made for groups to use the commercial machines.

Free Parking

There are 9 additional car parks for extra vehicles including room for trailers, boats, buses or trucks. 40 seat buses can “T” turn on the property. “Classic” or “expensive vehicles” are not easily seen from the street. There is a closed compound available for motor bikes and push bikes.

For wedding groups the additional vehicle space for photographers etc has proven to be invaluable. Limos and Vintage cars can access the property with ease.

Security

The motel is patrolled during the night by a security firm. A number of our rooms have a security safe.

Additional services

We can provide porta cots, highchairs and a shower chair free of charge. Happy to store any luggage whilst you are awaiting transport.

A changing room, extra shower and toilet are available for people who wish to freshen up after they have checked out. (after an event etc) On occasions camper vans can use this facility.

BBQ and grass area

A quiet area is available for groups to gather for a BBQ.

Walking or Running Tracks

Aspen Manor is very close to the Waikato River. There are kilometres of tracks which are great for running, walking or cycling. Steele Park is just across the road and Hamilton Gardens are within 800 metres.
